Kaiser Jeep introduced the Gladiator pickup in 1962 for the 1963 model year alongside the Wagoneer. The trucks were later sold as the J Series and stayed in production until 1988.

Early Gladiators offered an overhead cam six cylinder engine and were among the first four wheel drive pickups available with an automatic transmission.

Ohio Connection

Like many Jeep vehicles, these trucks were built in Toledo, Ohio, part of the city’s long Jeep manufacturing history.

Why Collectors Love It

Simple, tough, and long lived, J Series trucks are prized by off road fans, and Jeep revived the Gladiator name in 2019.

Before You Buy

Check the frame, cab corners, floors, and bed for rust, confirm the title and serial numbers match, and ask for service records. A local classic truck club or a trusted mechanic can help you judge parts availability and a fair price before you commit.
