The Dodge Power Wagon went on sale in 1946 as a civilian version of the rugged Dodge trucks used in World War II. It was one of the first mass produced four wheel drive trucks sold to the public in America.

Farmers, utility companies, ranchers, and fire departments valued its low gearing, heavy frame, and available front mounted winch.

Long Production Run

The original style Power Wagon stayed on sale in the U.S. until 1968 and continued for export markets after that, with few changes over the years.

Why Collectors Love It

Its military styling and true workhorse reputation make it a standout at shows, and the name returned on modern Ram heavy duty trucks.

Before You Buy

Check the frame, cab corners, floors, and bed for rust, confirm the title and serial numbers match, and ask for service records. A local classic truck club or a trusted mechanic can help you judge parts availability and a fair price before you commit.
