The Ford Model AA replaced the TT and was built from late 1927 through 1932. It shared its 40 horsepower four cylinder engine with the Model A car but added a four speed transmission and a heavier chassis.
Ford sold the AA as a stake truck, dump truck, panel delivery, and even a school bus, and it was also built under license in the Soviet Union as the GAZ AA.
Why Collectors Love It
Parts are easy to find thanks to the huge Model A hobby, so the AA is a popular first antique truck for restorers.
Spot It
Look for the larger wheels, dual rear tires on many models, and the long, upright Model A style grille.
Before You Buy
Check the frame, cab corners, floors, and bed for rust, confirm the title and serial numbers match, and ask for service records. A local classic truck club or a trusted mechanic can help you judge parts availability and a fair price before you commit.
