The Ford Ranchero arrived for 1957 as a full size Ford car with an integrated pickup bed, and it beat Chevrolet’s El Camino to market by two years.

Later Rancheros were based on the compact Falcon and then the midsize Fairlane, Torino, and LTD II platforms until production ended in 1979.

Why Collectors Love It

The first generation 1957 to 1959 models share their styling with that era’s Ford sedans, giving them plenty of chrome and classic fifties charm.

Did You Know

The Ranchero helped establish the coupe utility style in America, a body type also popular in Australia.

Before You Buy

Check the frame, cab corners, floors, and bed for rust, confirm the title and serial numbers match, and ask for service records. A local classic truck club or a trusted mechanic can help you judge parts availability and a fair price before you commit.
