Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that can quickly become life threatening.

Signs include trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat, hives, vomiting and dizziness. Common triggers include foods, insect stings and medications.

Pin Tip

If the person has an epinephrine auto injector, help them use it right away and call 911.

After Epinephrine

Even if symptoms improve, the person needs emergency care because symptoms can return.
