For 1953 Ford redesigned its F Series and renamed the half ton the F100, timed with the company’s 50th anniversary. This second generation stayed in production through 1956.

The new trucks had a lower, wider look, an available automatic transmission, and starting in 1954 an overhead valve Y block V8.

Signature Year

The 1956 F100 is a favorite for its wraparound windshield, and many builders consider it one of the best looking pickups ever made.

Why Collectors Love It

These trucks are popular for restorations and hot rod builds alike, with strong aftermarket support for parts and upgrades.

Before You Buy

Check the frame, cab corners, floors, and bed for rust, confirm the title and serial numbers match, and ask for service records. A local classic truck club or a trusted mechanic can help you judge parts availability and a fair price before you commit.
