Ford introduced the Bronco for 1966 as a compact four wheel drive vehicle to compete with the Jeep CJ and International Scout. The first generation ran through 1977.
It was offered as an open roadster, a half cab pickup, and a wagon, all on a short wheelbase built for trails.
Why Collectors Love It
Its boxy shape, simple mechanics, and off road ability made it a favorite, and values for well restored early Broncos have climbed sharply.
Legacy
The Bronco name went on to full size models and returned in 2021 with styling that nods to the original.
Before You Buy
Check the frame, cab corners, floors, and bed for rust, confirm the title and serial numbers match, and ask for service records. A local classic truck club or a trusted mechanic can help you judge parts availability and a fair price before you commit.
