Infant CPR is for babies under 1 year old and uses gentler technique.
Use two fingers or two thumbs in the center of the chest just below the nipple line, pressing about 1.5 inches deep at 100 to 120 compressions per minute.
Pin Tip
New parents and caregivers should take an infant CPR class before the baby comes home.
Gentle Breaths
Cover the baby’s mouth and nose with your mouth and give small puffs of air, just enough to make the chest rise.
Get Trained
This pin is for general education only and does not replace hands on training. Take a certified CPR and first aid course from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, and always call 911 in an emergency.
