Trained rescuers give cycles of 30 chest compressions followed by 2 rescue breaths.
Tilt the head back, lift the chin, pinch the nose and give each breath over about one second, watching for the chest to rise.
Pin Tip
Keep a CPR face shield or pocket mask in your car or first aid kit.
If You Are Not Trained
If you have not been trained in rescue breaths, do continuous Hands Only CPR until help arrives.
Get Trained
This pin is for general education only and does not replace hands on training. Take a certified CPR and first aid course from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, and always call 911 in an emergency.
