The U.S. Marine Corps was founded on November 10, 1775, and serves within the Department of the Navy.

Marines are known as an expeditionary force ready to respond quickly from land, sea and air, and for their demanding training.

Always Faithful

The Marine Corps motto, Semper Fidelis, means always faithful. Marines celebrate their birthday every November 10.
