SIG Sauer traces its roots to SIG, founded in 1853 in Neuhausen, Switzerland, and to its partnership with the German gunmaker J.P. Sauer and Sohn.
Today SIG Sauer makes pistols, rifles, optics and ammunition, with major operations in New Hampshire and a long list of military and police customers.
