Protection orders help keep people safe from abuse, stalking or harassment.

The person named in the order must be served before most orders can be enforced. In Ohio, these orders are commonly served by law enforcement.

Pin Tip

If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Safety First

Ask the court clerk how protection orders are served in your county and how to confirm service.
