A quick herb and citrus marinade keeps grilled salmon moist and full of fresh flavor.
Serves: 4 | Total time: 40 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets, skin on
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped dill
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Whisk the oil, lemon juice, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper.
- Marinate the salmon for 20 to 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat the grill to medium high and oil the grates well.
- Grill the salmon skin side down for 6 to 8 minutes with the lid closed.
- Cook until it reaches 145°F, then lift the fillets off the skin with a wide spatula.
Pin Tip
Do not marinate longer than 30 minutes. Lemon juice starts to change the texture of the fish.
Food Safety
Cook salmon until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F, measured in the thickest part, and the flesh flakes easily with a fork.
