Colt traces its history to Samuel Colt, who patented a practical revolving firearm in 1836 and later built a famous factory in Hartford, Connecticut.
For nearly two centuries Colt has made revolvers, pistols and rifles for the U.S. military, police and civilian shooters. The company became part of the Czech CZ Group in 2021.
