Good compressions are the most important part of CPR.
Place the heel of one hand in the center of the chest with the other hand on top. Push at least 2 inches deep at a rate of 100 to 120 compressions per minute.
Pin Tip
Let the chest come all the way back up between compressions so the heart can refill with blood.
Avoid Long Pauses
Keep interruptions as short as possible. If you get tired and someone else is trained, switch about every two minutes.
Get Trained
This pin is for general education only and does not replace hands on training. Take a certified CPR and first aid course from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, and always call 911 in an emergency.
