Crispy chicken thighs baked in a sticky honey garlic sauce. A family favorite with very little effort.
Serves: 4 | Total time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 8 bone in chicken thighs
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 425°F and season the thighs with salt and pepper.
- Sear the thighs skin side down in an ovenproof skillet for 5 minutes until browned.
- Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar and cornstarch and pour it around the chicken.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes until the thighs reach 165°F.
- Spoon the thickened sauce over the chicken before serving.
Pin Tip
Thighs stay juicy even if cooked a little past 165°F, which makes them very forgiving.
Food Safety
Cook chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F, measured with a thermometer in the thickest part without touching bone. Wash hands, boards and utensils after handling raw chicken.
